How to Draw Cartoon Turtles from the Letter D or B Lesson for Kids
Something that little kids love to do is to turn alphabet letters into characters and animals. Today we will turn a capital letter ‘D’ into a cartoon turtle. The following drawing tutorial is easy enough for preschoolers, as long as there is a parental figure available for guidance. Have fun.
How to Draw Cartoon Turtles from the Letter D or B Lesson for Kids
Step 1
To draw a simple doodle of a cartoon turtle, you can start off by either drawing a sideways capital letter ‘D’ or a sideways capital letter ‘B’. The capital letter ‘D’ is for the shell (if it was a ‘B’ it would be the head and the shell).
Step 2
Now draw another one for the face. Draw a sideways curved letter ‘V’ for the turtles tail.
Step 3
Now draw another sideways capital letter ‘D’ for the turtle’s eye. Also draw a curved line for a mouth.
Step 4
Now draw the turtle’s eyelid with a line. Also, lightly sketch rectangles for the turtle’s legs.
Step 5
Draw a lowercase letter ‘m’ for the toes on each foot. Also draw curves above the legs for where the turtle’s shell and thighs meet.
Step 6
On the turtle’s shell, draw curved squares on the shell for the turtle’s pattern.
Step 7
The finished doodle of the turtle looks something like the above picture…but you can change it up a little if you want to.
